  234.         projected vent windows.  Standard duty hinges are
  235.         generally used for residential projects requiring

  237.         pounds).  Heavy duty hinges are generally used for
  238.         commercial projects requiring relatively heavy
  239.         window sections (up to 200 pounds).

  332. 2.3 SKYLIGHT HARDWARE

  334.     A.  Motorized Skylight Operators:  Provide UL listed and CSA
  335.         approved Sentry 2000 series operators, designed to
  336.         replace crank on operable skylights.
  337.         1.  Motor Drive:  High pressure zinc die cast housing,
  338.             hardened steel drive gears, and high torque 24 volt
  339.             DC motor, capable of operating skylight vent weighing
  340.             up to 100 pounds.  Include drive adapter for specific
  341.             skylight units, as scheduled.
  342.         2.  Transformer:  24 VAC, Class II.
  343.         3.  Motor Control Module:  Wall mounted, designed to fit
  344.             standard single gang electrical box, and allowing use
  345.             of standard switch cover plates.  Include circuitry
  346.             capable of controlling up to three motors.
  347. NOTE ** Select one of the following control systems and
  348.         delete the others.
  349.             a.  Control type:  LC I stand-alone system.
  350.             b.  Control type:  LC II externally controllable
  351.                 system, equipped with wireless infrared remote
  352.                 control and rain sensor.

  370. 3.1 EXAMINATION

  373.         this section and openings correspond to locations and
  374.         dimensions indicated on approved shop drawings.

  376.         required for project.

  378.     B.  Verify that required electrical power of correct
  379.         characteristics is available.

  381.     C.  Do not begin work of this section until unacceptable
  382.         conditions have been corrected.

  384. 3.2 INSTALLATION
  385.  
  386.     A.  Install all window hardware in strict conformance with
  387.         manufacturer's instructions, using fasteners supplied by
  388.         hardware manufacturer or approved for use by
  389.         manufacturer.

  391.     B.  Install all hardware to be accurately positioned,
  392.         securely fastened, and adjusted for smooth operation.
  393.  
  394. 3.3 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
  395.  
  396.     A.  Clean all debris related to hardware installation from
  397.         project site.  Leave windows and hardware in neat and
  398.         clean condition.
  399.  
  400.     B.  Immediately prior to Substantial Completion of project,
  401.         inspect windows and verify that all operable hardware is
  402.         working properly.  Make any adjustments necessary to
  403.         assure smooth operation.
